Edfords Organic Lamb

Edfords Organic Lamb is grown slow just like all our other animals in the farm, typically we raise our lambs over a year to produce something called Hogget, this is the middle ground between Lamb and Mutton so you get all of the flavour as well as the delicate texture of lamb.

We keep and breed Jacob Sheep and Norfolk Horn Sheep, these are native breeds and the Norfolk Horn is on the Rare Breed Survival Trust list of vulnerable breeds, this means their numbers are low so it’s important we keep them and produce as many new breeding stock as possible, we don’t just raise sheep for the butchery, we are playing our part in conservation of rare breeds too.
