Organic Whole Chicken

We raise all our organic chickens ourselves so the food miles are minimal, we don’t have the capacity to always have chicken available so these really are special, they love their lives outside and are raised for 2-3 times longer than commercially reared chickens. Edfords uses a Soya free feed milled in East Anglia so when we say minimal food miles we mean it and our focus on farming with nature in mind goes well beyond the farm gate.

Our Chickens are packed with flavour you can only get by slowing down the growing process, they average 2.2kg each and as such can easily feed a large family. When we cook these ourselves we usually find they are at least capable of providing a roast dinner and chicken sandwiches for everyone the next day, we’d also be happy to share our chicken soup recipe so you could even get a third meal out of one chicken

As we prepare all our chickens to order it can take us 2-3 days to prepare them for delivery or collection.

Please Note that due to to Easter Break we will not be producing fresh chicken until the week beginning 8th April 2024
